Still not a favorite from the series.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J.K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré

So on my YouTube channel I am participating in a readalong called potterwatch. Each month we are reading a Harry Potter book and watching the film that goes with it. Last month we did the first book and first movie. So this month it's book 2 turn. I still have to watch the movie for the book.

So this is only my second time reading this book, I never reviewed it before, because at the time the book first came out, I just read books and didn't rate them. If I would have back then, it would have probably been only 3 1/2 stars, but on the reread, u really felt I liked it much more this time around. I love the flying car scenes, the ending scene with Harry and Dobby. Things I didn't like and annoyed me was any scenes with Lockhart, and any scenes with Heromine and Molly, falling for what he was trying to sell. Heromine is suppose to be so freaking smart, but falls for that shit. And at first Dobby gets on my freaking nerves, but of course I start to love my adorable little house elf.

Really can't wait to read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the first time I read it, I would say it was my favorite book and movie as well. So I can't wait to see if any of the positions of my book love changes.

I will tell you my least to favorite, which I told you already my favorite and least favorite.

7. chamber of secrets.

6.the Goblet of fire

5. The sorcerer's stone

4. Order of the Phoenix

3. The half blood Prince

2. The Deathly Hallows

1. The prisoner of Azkaban.

So there we go

Not as good as the rest of the series.

Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass) - Sarah J. Maas

I liked this book better than I thought I would considering I am not the biggest Chaol fan. Still not a big fan of his, but I like him more than before. I would have to say my favorite parts happened during the last 150 to 200 pages. I think the end was set up at a good point, for when we get to dive back into the final book, which I am super excited to see how everything winds up. I liked that we have a lot of armys to help the good side, fight the war.

Don't really want to say anything else because of spoilers.

Figured the big reveal from almost the beginning.

Damsel - Elana K. Arnold

The book was just okay, not the best book ever but I have read a lot worst, that's for sure. I figured out the big reveal if you can consider it, a big reveal. I really liked Ama a lot, but Emory and all the other guys in the book were all major assholes. They treated women like there only around to serve them in the bedroom. And Emory was very cruel, I just couldn't stand him at all. I liked the ending for one reason but don't want to mention why because of spoilers. I did like that the author didn't try to make Emory change, because it definitely wouldn't have even gotten one star, let what I gave it which like I mentioned was 3 stars.

Still loving this book, even if it wasn't my favorite of the series.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - J.K. Rowling

I really loved my reread of this book, its the only book that I have ever reread. So from here out, it will be like I am reading the series for the first time because it's been along time, since I read the rest in the series, since around 16 or 17 years

Now I really love how Harry meet Ron, his family, Hagrid, etc. The first time I read it, was the first time I ever read a book for a younger age group. And this series, is what took me away from just reading romance novels. So its always going to have a very big part of my heart.

I think this time around of rereading this book, it was my favorite time, next to what I can remember from my first time. I just love the characters so much, even the bad characters, I love to hate. I love that Harry has his scar, I love the scenes with the letters and the owls. I love Harry and Hagrid's first time meeting each other. I know Hagrid already knew Harry, but Harry was a lot baby then.

I love remembering how much I thought Hermonie was a snobby and a know it all. And then realizing how wrong I was about her, later on in this book. I love how young and innocent, those 3 were in this book. I just love their friendship through the good, bad, and ugly parts. Loved the ending and how much Harry learned in his first year at Hogwarts!!!!! Had so much fun reread this book. And I can't wait to see if  I am going to love the rest of the books as much, less, or even more, if that's possible, after all my rereads are finished. I am reading a book a month, so I won't be finished with my rereads until March. So it's going to take a while, but I am so down for it.

Didn't love it as much as the first book, a darker shade of Magic.

A Gathering of Shadows - V.E. Schwab

I didn't hate this book by any means, it just took me awhile to really get into the storyline. I will have to say that, it could have been just my mood at the time. I might do a reread of the whole series, sometime next year, and who knows, maybe the rating will change. But for right now, I have to go with this rating.

I loved the Magic tournament in the book, kind of gave me a Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire vibe. The characters I freaking love, especially Rhy, and Kell, and there relationship as brothers. The world building and Magic system is just plain awesome. I am also currently reading a conjuring of light, and that book, is giving me a whole lot of feelings. I still would recommend this series and this book, too readers that love this type of world, and have some awesome and amazing characters and a bad ass, female like Lila Bard.

Was pretty bored, until the last half of the book.

The Kiss of Deception - Mary E. Pearson

I found myself, just not being able to get into the storyline. The last 100 to 150 pages is what saved the book from being a 2 star, or maybe even a dnf. I really love Rafe, and the other two main characters, I was so, so, with. I really love once the heroine realizes what is going on. I just found her very clueless and just pretty boring. Rafe was the saving Grace, his parts of the story is what kept me going. I also always knew whom the Prince was and the assassin was from there being scene. So I don't think I am going to finish this series. I am planning on reading the authors new series, in this world thou. I haven't read much in dance of thieves, but what I read so far, I am already loving more than what I did at the being if this book.

What a freaking rollercoaster of a ending!!! (For now. )

Empire of Storms - Sarah J. Maas

I know I said I thought this would be a 4 star read, that ending, just made me have to give it 5 stars. I am still in love with my King Dorian, and I am starting to fall for Rowan. I really don't want to say anything else. But I am so glad I am in love with Manon. Especially if her and Dorian get together, because my king, has to get with someone I love, and think would do him justice!!!!!

After that ending, I am excited, but scared to see how everything ends. And I decided I better read TOD, so I will know what is going on there. I also am glad that I read the assassins blade, or I would have really been lost, in regards to certain parts of this book.

I probably won't get KOA, until a few days after its release, because I preordered it from Barnes and noble. Because I just had to get the special edition.

Reading progress update: I've read 218 out of 689 pages.

Empire of Storms - Sarah J. Maas

I am enjoying this book so far. My favorite things are Dorian and Rowan's scenes as well as, Dorian and Manon's scenes. I just still freaking adore Dorian, so much!!! And I am finally on the bandwagon of the Manon love. I didn't like her at all until the ending of QOS. It's weird that I am not a big fan of Aelin, but I really loved her when she was Celaena (I know I spelled her name wrong).

This is my first time reading this one. I read books 1 and 2 twice, and 3, and 4, once. So I don't know how I am going to feel about Chaol, once I get to Tower of dawn. Since I really didn't like Chaol that much, until QOS, towards the ending of course. I am hoping I will like him, but who really knows .

I really like I said, am enjoying this book, but I don't know if it's going to be a 5 star rating, like the rest of the series, especially 3 and 4. I still am super excited for Kingdom of ash, next month, to see how everything ends. But super scared that one of my favorites will die. I will be super sad if my Dorian or Manon dies. I also really love Aedion and Lysandra as well. I am not sure how I feel about Elide and Lorcan, as of yet.

I was already spoiled about how this book ends, but I don't know how everything came about, so I am still super excited to finish this book and move on to tower of dawn.

One of my favorite books in this series!!!!!

Leverage in Death - J.D. Robb

I really thought the reason for the killings was just interesting because I know nothing about the topic.(All I can say about that without spoiling it.)

Ti will say that one trigger Warning would be abuse of Children, but more for the wife. Loved the ending and I was crying but it was a happy reason why I was crying

I will say Eve and Roarke had a small fight and of course angry sexy. And that the candy thief made an appearance again. There was a really cute Eve and Belle scene, that had me gushing and laughing.

I really think one of the reasons I love this series so much is because of the friendship as well as the different relationships in the book. And there was a part with Peabody that had me freaking laughing like a loon.

The book makes you think, what would you do if you had to choose between your family or many other people dying? Could you choose to let your wife, child die? I think it would be a very hard thing to choose. I wouldn't want my spouse and child to die but I wouldn't want to kill innocent people either. Very hard because either way, even if you had no choice, you would be a killer.

WoW what a rollercoaster of a ride!!!!

LifeLik3 - Jay Kristoff

WoW what a rollercoaster of a ride!!!!

LifeLik3 - Jay Kristoff

For right now I am going to just say, what a freaking rollercoaster of a ride, this book was. More to come when I can think of what else to say.

Really interesting start to the series!!!

A Darker Shade of Magic - V.E. Schwab

Really awesome start to this series. I would say Rhy, Kell's brother is my favorite character, of course I love Kell as well. I like how V.E. Schwab writes her characters. Even the ones that are the villians in her books, you have some very intense feelings for, rather if its love or hatred. I really don't want to say to much because of spoilers. But I can't wait to find out what happens yet.

My new book boyfriend is a Villain!!!!!

Vicious - V.E. Schwab

Wow this book was really something else, (and not in a bad way.) I never thought I would fall in love with a book that really has no good people in it. Besides are doggy Sol. But V.E Schwab can do bad guys really well. Victor from the very beginning was so intriguing to me, and he didn't change my opinion of him at all. I know his evil but I would take his evilness anytime over Eli's god complex. At least Vic, own up to his evilness. I really can't say to much more without giving away spoilers but I freaking can't wait for Vengeful at the end of September.

One more thing I have to say is I love how the ending went down. Also I have a favorite book of the year and a new book boyfriend. And I can't wait to see what happens next with Victor, Eli, Syndey, Mitch, and are doggy Sol.

Really starting to get into Manga

Deadman Wonderland Volume 1 - Kazuma Kondou, Jinsei Kataoka

So I liked this manga better than death notes. I think that's because in death note, I think the main character, is already starting to take things to far

I also want to find out what's going to happen next after the ending of this manga, while I can wait a little bit longer to see what happens next in death notes. I am curious on why the main character is being framed for killing his classmates. This isn't a spoiler since it talks about the killing in the blurb.

I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars, because I found my mind wandering around, in certain parts of the story.

I already ordered the 2nd one in this manga's series, and am planning on reading it very soon.

First time ever reading a manga.

Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom - Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata

So this is the first time I have ever read a manga. I am not really sure what to say about it, just because I don't have other examples of other manga's to compare it to. I did enjoy it and I liked that it was such a quick read. I am not sure about how I feel in regards to what the main character is doing. I can understand why he thinks he's doing the right thing. But how is he any better than them, if his doing what he is doing. And his putting someone important into a lot of trouble because of this.

I did love the idea of the book, with killing someone by just writing that person's name on the paper. I know there are rules or steps that need to be taken for it to work.

I will be most definitely getting other manga's and later on getting another book from this series. It was still a really interesting and enjoyable first experience of reading the manga. Especially since it's totally different in the way, you need to read the story. And at times it was confusing but hopefully I will get use to it as I get more experience.

Trying to (at least to me) be one of those cheesy mystery/horror type of book.

I was really hoping to love this story more. But to me it was just trying to be a cheesy mystery/horror type of book, you would watch as a movie. I thought some of the murders in the book were gross but done in a very cheesy way.

I really did love the character of Dee, she thought she had no one to survive but she wasn't just going to give up and just let herself be killed. One character, I can't think of his name right now, I really thought was so funny. The guy was always saying things from a movie. Like from terminator and die hard, so he kept me entertained. Dee's love interest Nyles wasn't a bad character either, and I liked them okay together. But I wish he was more flushed out more. Or whatever that word is, like I wanted to feel connected to him. And the other girl Griselda, I thought tried to hard to be a meangirl.

I also wish going into the book that I knew it was not going to be a standalone. The mystery of who the killer was going to be, wasn't much of a mystery. But I  just couldn't figure out how the person or persons, went about doing it. But when it was explained I really felt stupid, that I didn't put it together.

The ending had a conclusion but was definitely left open for my story to tell.

Even though it wasn't my favorite book ever, I did get through it pretty quickly and it definitely kept me laughing. So I will definitely read the next one when it comes out  sometime next year.

So if you decide to read this book except a lot of cheesy and corny deaths.
