My Review:
The plot was very interesting, and I really loved the character of Jadeite. To me she was a very strong character, for only being 15. And all that she had to go through in this book for her age. I couldn't stand her boyfriend Mattie at all.
Mattie is such a jerk, and thanks his all that. His very controlling, and deadly if you get in his way. I really thought that Jadeite was able to fool him pretty easy, after trying to leave him the second time around. If I was Mattie I wouldn't have believed that she wanted to be with me, after wanting to break up with me the first. But him thinking his god's gift to women, plays a part of his thinking.
I really wish that Orion, played a bigger part in the story. I did see chemistry between him and Jadeite, when they did interact, with one another. And I did enjoy the parts of the book he was in. I love a guy that can make things with their hands, and he also tries to invent things as well.
I really loved Jedeite's dad, and especially her brother Malachite. Next to Jadeite, Malachite was my favorite character. I also liked her best friend Electra. I loved that she was different, and didn't believe all the bull, the United Society tried to pull.
I really loved the ending, it got pretty action packed towards the end of the book.
While the beginning was pretty boring, the last half, especially the last 1/3 of it, is what saved the book. If it wasn't for that reason, the book would have been a 3 star rating, instead of the four stars I gave it. I would definitely recommend this book, and would definitely read the book again.
