Aurora Firedrake returns in the spellbinding sequel to The Last of the Firedrakes.

The seven kingdoms of Avalonia are crumbling and evil is spreading across the land like a plague. Queen Morgana is close to finding a way to open The Book of Abraxas and it’s only a matter of time until she uses the power trapped inside its pages to enslave the entire world.

With Avalonia growing more dangerous by the day, Aurora must travel through war-torn lands and deep into the heart of the fae kingdom of Elfi. Her goal is to find a legendary weapon infused with the last of the realm’s ancient magic—the only weapon in the world powerful enough to stop the queen.

Aurora might have survived her first battle against Morgana, but the true fight to save her kingdom and restore her throne has only just begun…

My Review

I really thought this one had a lot of action and gives you much more answers than the first one. I still like Rory but I just wish she wasn't so hung up on Rafe, I am just not a hugh fan of his, and I don't see what she sees in him.

We are introduced to another guy who I like a lot more than Rafe, his name is

Tristan. What can I say about this sexy and interesting individual, besides I wish Rory would fall in love with him and get over Rafe. Unfortunately I think even though I wouldn't pick Rafe for her, I still think his the end game. I have to say Tristan and Rory, don't hit it off at first, and that's due to him. He is a complete ass to her at first, but he does chance. I love that he doesn't try to over protect Rory but stand beside her. Rafe isn't even in this book that much which is a plus for me. There are betrayals and some secrets revealed, so I am so excited what's going to happen next.

I am so happy that I asked and was chosen to take part in the book tour for this book. One last thing, I really hope I start to like Rafe more in the next book. I think one of the reasons I am not connecting to Rafe, is because he hasn't really been in the books that much. So maybe if his in the next book more and I learn more about him, I will like him with Rory more.
